This role is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take the next step in their career by leading General Ledger activities across multiple countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East , while partnering with finance teams and business stakeholders across the regions. Key Responsibilities The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for: Supervising and managing end-to-end General Ledger operations across multiple countries. Overseeing daily GL transactions, reviewing and approving journal entries, and monitoring GL performance. Maintaining and standardizing Charts of Accounts across different countries. Managing accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, fixed assets accounting, and revaluations. Reviewing and validating balance sheet reconciliations and leading account cleansing initiatives. Performing detailed P&L analysis to support financial and business decision-making. Coordinating month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensuring compliance with corporate reporting standards, deadlines, and internal controls. Preparing and submitting monthly reporting packages through OneStream and responding to Financial Controllers' queries. Reviewing supplier invoices, payments, and supplier statements of account. Acting as a key finance contact for CFOs, Country Managers, agency teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders across the regions. Working closely with country and agency teams to reconcile accounts, clean the books, and improve financial KPIs. Collaborating with international and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve inter-agency financial processes. Supporting internal and external audits and assisting Financial Controllers across multiple countries. Reviewing balance sheet and cash flow statements and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reported figures. Mentoring, training, and supporting junior accounting team members to strengthen knowledge, capabilities, and overall team performance. Qualifications & Experience We are looking for candidates who demonstrate: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage. 4+ years of relevant accounting experience , preferably with strong exposure to General Ledger and financial reporting. Consistently strong performance record, with a high rating in recent performance appraisals and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and taking ownership. Proven experience in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes . Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and foreign currency revaluations .
