Description Location: Budapest Introduction to the Business Unit At Qatar Airways, our Ground Services teams play a vital role in delivering safe, secure and efficient airport operations while providing world-class service to our customers. About the Role As Airport Services Duty Officer in Budapest, Romania , you will be responsible for the overall control of the shift, monitoring airport activities, coordinating with operational stakeholders and supporting the safe and punctual operation of Qatar Airways flights. Key Responsibilities Responsible for day-to-day airport operations and acts as a liaison between service providers and users. Monitor operational activities and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure passenger and aircraft handling practices comply with safety and security requirements. Manage shift manpower resources to optimise utilisation while maintaining morale and discipline. Conduct operational spot checks to ensure required standards are maintained. Resolve customer issues and complaints in coordination with relevant departments. Conduct shift briefings with supervisors and operational teams. Prepare detailed station handling and operational reports, including monthly reporting requirements. Perform Aircraft Turnaround Check duties as assigned to support safe ramp operations. Experience within an airline or a reputable ground handling agent in a supervisory role. Excellent English communication skills. Knowledge of weight and balance, ramp handling and dangerous goods regulations. Strong customer service focus with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. High level of computer literacy and understanding of aviation safety and security requirements. Flexibility to travel to outstations to support operational requirements.
