What the day will look like The Alternative Capital Solutions Broker is responsible for designing, structuring, and placing climate- and catastrophe-linked risk transfer and capital solutions (e.g., rainfall, temperature, wind, hurricane indices) for corporate, agribusiness, and financial clients. The role combines strong technical analysis with a commercial mindset to transform climate and catastrophe risks into clear, bankable, and competitive capital solutions across insurance, reinsurance, and alternative capital markets. Identify and develop alternative capital opportunities by understanding clients’ risk, capital, and rating needs across corporates, banks, and insurers Analyze clients’ climate and catastrophe risk exposures, selecting appropriate variables and indices, and supporting the calibration of triggers, layers, and limits Lead the technical and financial structuring of alternative capital programs, collaborating with actuarial, modeling, legal, and commercial teams Manage quotation and placement processes with insurers, reinsurers, and alternative capital providers, negotiating competitive terms and conditions Prepare and present proposals, structure models, sensitivity analyses, and technical documentation in English and Spanish for senior stakeholders (CFO, CRO, Treasury, Investor Relations, etc.) Support contract and transaction documentation review and monitor relevant climate and catastrophe events, ensuring consistency between technical structures, legal wording, and market execution. You will have direct exposure to corporate clients, banks, insurers, and multilateral organizations, as well as international reinsurers and capital providers. Skills and experience that will lead to success Minimum of 5 years of experience in consultative sales, business development, insurance/reinsurance broking, investment banking, capital markets, or commercial roles within the financial sector, ideally with exposure to catastrophe risk, climate risk, or structured solutions Knowledge of and/or strong interest in alternative capital solutions (structured reinsurance, capital markets, catastrophe-linked instruments, parametric solutions) and their application to risk, solvency, and capital challenges Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to interact confidently with reinsurers, investors, and global teams Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related fields; postgraduate studies or certifications in finance, risk, or capital markets are a plus. #LI-AE1 2588930
