About this Role The Assistant Manager – In Room Dining is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the In Room Dining department, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, and adherence to luxury hospitality standards. The role supports the management team in leading colleagues, maintaining service excellence, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the In Room Dining department. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms. Monitor service standards and ensure compliance with luxury hospitality requirements. Conduct regular inspections of service areas, equipment, and trolleys. Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure proper setup, delivery, and clearance of room service orders. Supervise, motivate, and support IRD colleagues during shifts. Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational information effectively. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management. Ensure colleagues maintain grooming and appearance standards. Develop team members through coaching and ongoing feedback. Build strong relationships with guests and anticipate their needs. Ensure personalized and memorable dining experiences. Follow up on guest feedback and implement corrective actions where required. Promote resort dining experiences and maximize upselling opportunities Monitor departmental revenue and labor costs. Assist in achieving departmental budgets and productivity targets. Ensure accurate billing and posting of guest checks. Minimize wastage and control operating expenses. Support monthly inventory and stock control processes. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Follow company health and safety procedures. Ensure proper handling and storage of food and beverages. Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
