This is not simply our job, it’s our passion. JOB SUMMARY Assistant, Recreation is responsible for the day-to-day running and operation of Water Sport & Recreation departments. Planning of the day for the good running of all Water Sports activities, Recreation activities, Tennis/Padel bookings, and Art classes. Can engage with guests and easily inform them of the activities available and convert them to bookings. Completes any additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Manager of Recreation and Manager of sports and fitness from time to time. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare the Water Sports and Splash Boutique areas before opening, ensuring radios, booking request logs, disclaimer forms, guest towels, and bottled water are available and ready for use. • Coordinate daily programs and activities to maintain a smooth and efficient working environment. • Proactively engage with guests and promote Water Sports, Recreation, Tennis/Padel activities, department events, and daily programs. • Provide guests with accurate information about all Water Sports, Recreation, and Tennis/Padel activities and services. • Manage bookings for Water Sports, Recreation, and Tennis/Padel activities, ensuring no scheduling conflicts with existing reservations. • Maintain inventory records for all items within the Splash Boutique. • Compile daily sales reports and activity participation records. • Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks for the Splash Boutique, ensuring adequate inventory levels of operational supplies and safeguarding all resort equipment. • Submit a detailed month-end report to the Manager, Sports & Fitness by the 2nd day of each month. • Handle guest bookings and coordinate related requests with designated colleagues and departments, escalating concerns and maintenance issues to the Assistant Manager, Recreation, and Manager, Sports & Fitness. • Prepare and submit daily maintenance requests for the department. • Process and post guest charges for Water Sports, Recreation, Tennis/Padel, and Art revenue centers. • Support other areas within the Guest Activities and Sports Department as directed by the Manager, Sports & Fitness. • Inspect the cleanliness and condition of the Splash Boutique and guest seating areas, ensuring tables, chairs, and guest lockers are clean, free of sand and dust, and in good working condition. • Ensure guest towels are available throughout the day and replenished as required. • Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the Splash Boutique, ensuring seating areas are free from dirt, stains, and damage. • Complete the daily closing procedures for the Splash Boutique, Water Sports, and Recreation areas, including removing used towels, returning them to the laundry, and securing office equipment for the following day. • Report operational issues, maintenance concerns, and guest-related incidents to the Assistant Manager, Recreation, and Manager, Sports & Fitness. • Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, guest experience meetings, and team events. •
