About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager on our Freddie Mac team. This team member will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Freddie Mac loans. The Asset Manager performs all functions associated with monitoring the performance of a multifamily loan throughout its life, commencing with the initial funding and continuing until satisfaction of the debt or transfer to a special servicer pursuant to investor guidelines. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com. In this role, you will: Manage overall asset management of an assigned portfolio of Freddie Mac multifamily loans. Review and research complex, multifaceted, large scale, and long term business challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Provide insight in complex and multifaceted situations requiring exceptional understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and participate in broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and mid-level to more experienced Asset Managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Serve as the primary relationship contact for the Borrower/ property management agent, providing customer service, first-line management and due diligence of the loan portfolio in compliance with investor requirements. Asset Management functions include monitoring, analyzing, and reporting property level operating performance, risk ratings, performing property physical inspections/assessment of on-site management staff/local market conditions, watchlist monitoring, and processing of lender consents. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Demonstrate a skill set that encompasses financial analysis, real estate and property management operations, market knowledge, knowledge of mortgage and legal documents, and credit risk analysis Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions Familiarity with highly structured loan transactions, preferably credit facilities that feature substitution and release provisions. Competence with Freddie Mac multifamily asset management technology tools. Knowledge and understanding of credit and income producing real estate. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
