In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in an innovative research environment and support scientists in the execution of cell culture and laboratory activities. You will contribute to ongoing research projects while developing practical skills relevant to industrial drug discovery and development. Location: Heidelberg, Germany Department: Cell Biology / Target Discovery Employment Type: Part-time as a “mini-job” Responsibilities Support cell culture activities under the guidance of experienced scientists Support preparation of cell lysates Prepare cell culture media, buffers, and reagents Maintain, monitor, and document cell lines Assist with routine laboratory tasks and quality control activities Support the organization and management of laboratory consumables and inventories Document experimental work and laboratory activities in accordance with internal guidelines Assist with general operational and organizational tasks in the cell culture laboratory Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or holds a respective degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline Previous laboratory experience is advantageous Practical experience with aseptic techniques and cell culture is a plus Interest in cell biology, drug discovery, and modern life science technologies Thoughtful, reliable, and well-structured way of working Strong teamwork and communication skills Good written and spoken proficiency in German and English What We Offer Hands-on experience in industrial research and drug discovery Opportunity to work within an international and interdisciplinary research team Access to modern laboratory and research infrastructure Flexible working hours that can be combined with academic studies Opportunity to acquire valuable practical laboratory experience Professional and personal development through close collaboration with experienced scientists Skills Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Data Quality, Following Instructions, Interpersonal Communication, Life Science, Listening Effectively, Molecular Biology, Proper Documentation, Scientific Research This is a temporary training opportunity focused on professional development.
