Data Modeling on Snowflake: Implements well-defined, low to moderate complexity dimensional data models on Snowflake based on requirements provided by Business Analysts and Product, closely following team conventions for naming, layering and documentation; exposure to other modeling approaches (e.g. Data Vault) is a plus. Python for Data Analytics Engineering: Writes clean, testable Python — including basic object-oriented code — for Dagster assets and general Data Analytics Engineering tasks, with support and code review from senior peers. - is considered a plus Source Integration: Helps integrate data from a variety of sources (ERPs, transactional systems, SaaS tools, flat files, spreadsheets, etc.), developing familiarity with the relevant business semantics. Quality, Testing & Monitoring: Writes basic tests (dbt tests, custom checks) and helps monitor data quality for the pipelines they contribute to, escalating anomalies to senior peers for investigation. Operational Excellence (Awareness Level): Learns to work within the team's CI/CD, Git, Docker and Terraform setup, contributing to DataOps practices under the direction of senior peers. Collaboration: Works closely with other Data Analytics Engineers, the Reporting team, Business Analysts and the Product Manager, asking questions and escalating ambiguity early to translate requirements into technical tasks . Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Documents the tasks, models and pipelines they contribute to, and actively participates in code reviews and knowledge sessions to accelerate their learning.
