Job Description: How You’ll Make Your Mark: You will participate in all stages of design and development including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration. You will join as a member of a project team with other software engineers and internal or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion. You will review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with design and development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. The selected candidate should be willing to work from Montreal office at least twice a week. About You: You will have a Computer Science / Information Systems educational background, or equivalent working experience. You have strong experience implementing cloud applications and solutions, using Kafka or an equivalent You have strong knowledge of Java You master Docker and Kubernetes You have a solid grasp of software engineering concepts including common data structures, standard algorithms, object-oriented design, and cloud computing paradigms. You have knowledge of NoSQL (ArangoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kairos DB, etc). Persistence stack needed. You have experience with wireless based technologies such as GPS, RF tags, Fine Time Measurement, UWB, and Wi-Fi in general is an asset. You have exposure working with contemporary source code development tools (eg GIT, Maven, Eclipse) You can work well with Quality Assurance and remote teams. You have experience working in Agile Methodology.
