Job Description: Backend Tech Lead Location: Galway Ireland Type: Permanent Full time Summary We're looking for a hands-on Backend Tech Lead to serve as a technical authority for critical system software—driving architecture, design, and code quality. In this role you'll combine deep engineering skills with technical leadership: solving the hardest programming, performance, and reliability challenges, leading design reviews and technical decisions. Proven experience in technically leading others AI adopter with proven hands-on experience applying generative AI tools to streamline software development, improve engineering efficiency, and support a continuous-learning mindset. Strong knowledge of Linux and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM and Openshift. Deep expertise in software systems design, development methodologies, and integration across diverse platforms and technologies. Strong ability to innovate and bring fresh approaches to technical challenges. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and sharp analytical abilities. Exceptional communication skills to effectively present and discuss technical designs, proposals, and solutions with senior management and stakeholders.
