Job Description Commercial Manager Bristol Full Time Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial manager to join our team in Bristol. The Commercial role will create and deploy the integrated commodity / category strategies and the associated strategic sourcing and commercial activities, ensuring adequate levels of contractual coverage with the aim of mitigating commercial risk, optimising commercial advantage, providing security of supply and acceptable levels of liability. Where designated, you will lead the strategic relationship(s) at a senior level creating value and competitive advantage. You will coach and mentor talent in your area to further develop strategic sourcing capability. What you will be doing: Supplier Relationships - Where designated, responsible for the effective top to top management and strategic direction of partners and suppliers. Strategic Sourcing - Where designated, responsible for planning and leading sourcing and commercial activities to maximise the value proposition across all major commodities / categories. Will remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts and ensure preferred suppliers have plans to gain access to emerging and developed markets. Quality and Delivery - Where designated, select a supply chain capable of meeting quality and delivery requirements and ensuring the management and rectification of quality. Stakeholder Management - Nurture effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the function in order to integrate functional priorities. Strategy - Develop, deploy, and communicate relevant integrated commodity /category / supplier strategies, providing a clear vision and strategic framework for the designated supply chain(s). Work collaboratively, as part of a highly skilled cross functional teams to ensure that strategies meet the needs of current and future manufacturing programmes. Processes and Procedures - Lead the team's compliance to company policies, processes and procedures, ensuring all purchasing records and documentations are correct and maintained in line with regulatory requirements. Supplier Code of Conduct - Responsible for understanding supplier obligations contained in the Global Supplier Code of Conduct and addressing any supplier compliance concerns through direct action or escalation. Position qualifications: BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience. Strategic thinker: You're a big-picture thinker who can anticipate potential issues and plan proactively to minimize risks and maximize results Detail-oriented: You have a keen eye for detail and can ensure accuracy and precision in project plans and reports and are reliable in meeting deadlines and managing priorities Strong communicator: Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills Tools: Proficient in project management methodologies and software, such as Microsoft Project Collaborative team player: You work well in a team environment and can collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels Adaptable and flexible: You can adapt to changing project requirements and can pivot quickly to adjust plans and manage risks To work for this Rolls-Royce business area an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
