About The Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Commis 3 to join Culinary (Olivine Restaurant) in Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Attend daily and monthly meetings with the Sous Chef. Work to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index. Check the main information board re change of any Banquets or other information regarding the organization. Organize together with Chef de Partie the shift on his/her section regarding mise-en-place production and its service. Together with his/her Chef de Partie to write daily wine, dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms for the approval of the Sous Chef in order to achieve the high stock rotation desired in his/her section. About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Higher Secondary School Certificate is essential; Diploma in Culinary Preparation is desirable. Previous experience in a similar culinary role, with good knowledge of food items. Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to make independent decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good verbal and written English. Guest-focused, flexible, and calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving and follow-up abilities.
