AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We have a 6 month project that requires resource and support for our Infrastructure Operations team and we are seeking Data Center Technicians. In this role, you'll: • Support and perform remediation tasks for Project delivery, within target Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and timelines. • Serve as a technical resolver for data center infrastructure challenges • Work within the Data Center Operations (DCO) team to maintain IT infrastructure and hardware • Assist with resolution of infrastructure issues and coordinate with solution teams on complex cases • Help drive continuous improvements This position may include shift work and may require rotation between locations. Key job responsibilities SAFETY • Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture. DATA CENTER OPERATIONS (DCO) • Support and perform remediation tasks for Project delivery, within target Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and timelines. • Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs • Troubleshooting events within internal SLAs • Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures • Manual handling and lifting of equipment will be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) • Potential for On-shift first responder, responding to and supporting site operational emergencies (if on 24/7/365 shift-based role) A day in the life A day in the life Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
