Deputy General Manager - Mechanical Combined Cycle Power Plant Design At Tractebel, we engineer a sustainable future. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in combined cycle power plants, you will shape the technical direction of critical energy infrastructure projects. What You'll Do - Lead the basic and detailed design of main plant components, including Gas Turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and Steam Turbines. - Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports for combined cycle power plant projects. - Prepare and own key design documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, design criteria, sizing calculations, and RFPs. - Apply international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, and API to ensure design compliance and quality. - Coordinate with equipment vendors to confirm that components meet required specifications and standards. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver technically sound solutions. - Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional growth within the team. What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage. - 18 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on combined cycle power plant design. - In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and pump types used in combined cycle power plants. - Solid familiarity with international standards including ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS. - Proven experience preparing technical documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, system descriptions, and vendor evaluations. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing or mentoring engineering teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
