Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future. Developer Interfaces builds the tools developers and AI agents use to work with 1Password from code. We own the 1Password CLI and we are building out the SDKs and the public developer API experience. Our goal is to make every one of those surfaces feel like one product that is fast, consistent and secure by default. The work sits where developer experience meets security, so the problems are real and the bar for correctness is high. This is a remote opportunity within Canada/US. This position will be for 4 months - January to April 2027. What You Can Expect: Ship features and fixes in the 1Password CLI, written in Go and Rust, that developers use every day in terminals, scripts and CI pipelines. Measure and improve CLI and SDK performance with benchmarks and usage data. Write a short design doc before you build, get feedback from senior engineers, then carry the work through code review, testing and release. Learn how a security company builds developer tools, from authentication flows like OAuth to handling secrets safely. Use AI coding tools with judgment. You review and verify what they produce, and you own every line you submit. What we're looking for: Confidence: A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion. Humility: You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them). Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things, even if everyone seems happy with how they are. Teamwork: We work together, and succeed as a team!
