Team Description The Anti Money Laundering (AML) Technology Team at Capital One is responsible for providing solutions that enable the detection, investigation and reporting of suspicious activities to FinCen, the Financial Crimes Enforcement network, a bureau of the United States Department of Treasury. We are transforming the technology that drives AML investigations with Agentic AI. If you are interested in building and leading engineering teams that are at the forefront of this innovation with a high bar for engineering and operational excellence, this role is for you. What You’ll Do: Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team. Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios Continuously improve software engineering practices Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity Work across to improve the velocity of your and other teams Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments Oversee and guide the technical implementation of breaking existing monolithic applications into microservice architectures and build new microservices Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms Partner with senior engineering and business leaders to align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities Drive talent strategy, ensuring succession planning, skill development, and equitable opportunity across engineering teams This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.
