Secondary location: Raritan, US Job Description Summary We are currently seeking a Director, Make Business Process Owner (Orthopedics) to join the DePuy Synthes (DS) team. The Director, Make Business Process Owner will be responsible for driving the Orthopaedics Franchise toward the standardisation of core manufacturing business processes and interdependent business ecosystems through the adoption of SAP standard capabilities. The role will ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence goals. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, and Quality processes, as well as proven experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver against programme scope, timelines, and objectives. The MAKE Business Process Owner (BPO) will collaborate with other functional Business Process Owners, technology teams, domain experts, and business stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of current business processes and capabilities, identify benchmarking and continuous improvement opportunities, ensure process documentation consistency, and support successful solution deployment across transformation programmes. The MAKE BPO serves as the primary business decision-maker for manufacturing processes and acts as the key liaison between Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, System Integrators, and deployment teams throughout the programme lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Ownership Own the end-to-end MAKE process landscape within SAP S/4HANA. Define, govern, and maintain global manufacturing process standards, policies, and procedures. Drive harmonisation and simplification of manufacturing processes across business units and manufacturing sites. Ensure alignment between manufacturing, planning, quality, sourcing, warehousing, finance, and logistics processes. Solution Design & Deployment Lead Fit-to-Standard and Solution Confirmation workshops. Validate business requirements and approve solution designs. Drive adoption of SAP standard functionality and clean-core principles. Review and approve Key Design Decisions (KDDs), RICEFW objects, and process exceptions. Ensure manufacturing requirements are translated into scalable, sustainable SAP solutions. Configuration, Testing & Validation Participate in system demonstrations and business simulations, providing feedback and guidance. Approve functional, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios. Validate solution fit against business objectives and operational requirements. Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), Business Simulation Testing (BST), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
