## Description

About Modular
At
Modular, a Qualcomm company
, we’re on a mission to revolutionize AI infrastructure by systematically rebuilding the AI software stack from the ground up. Our team, made up of industry leaders and experts, is building cutting-edge, modular infrastructure that simplifies AI development and deployment. By rethinking the complexities of AI systems, we’re empowering everyone to unlock AI’s full potential and tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
If you’re passionate about shaping the future of AI and creating tools that make a real difference in people’s lives, we want you on our team. You can read about

to understand how we work and what we value.
About the role:
The Modular Alliance Program is an industry effort to build one AI software layer, MAX and Mojo, that runs on any silicon, kept compatible by a common conformance test suite. Partners come from four segments: silicon partners (GPU, NPU, ASIC, and CPU vendors), AI labs, deployers (clouds, neoclouds, OEMs, telcos, and national AI programs), and the developer ecosystem (engineering firms that bring up hardware backends and models on new silicon, open-source and compiler consultancies, distribution and tooling platforms, and independent benchmarks). Partners contribute engineering, compute, or early model checkpoints.
You will build and run the Alliance as an organization: membership, legal agreements, governance, the conformance program, and the launch plan. You will also lead business development in the APAC region. You will work with Alliance leadership, our legal, finance, marketing, and engineering teams, and you will run the Alliance day to day after launch.

LOCATION:
Candidates based in Taiwan and Japan are welcome to apply and will work remotely
. Expect regular travel across the region and periodic travel to the US.
What you will do:
Own the launch plan: timeline, phase gates, and the weekly operating review across outreach, legal, engineering, and marketing.
Build and run the agreement pipeline with legal: NDAs, LOIs, contributor license agreements, and partner agreements.
Turn the membership framework into a process: tier qualification, benefits and obligations, onboarding, and the annual review of partner commitments.
Own the partner funnel and KPI model, and track what partners deliver after signing: engineers, compute, and checkpoints.
Own the APAC partner pipeline from target list to signed agreement: domestic silicon vendors, foundation-model labs, clouds and telcos, national AI programs, and engineering-services and tooling firms
Hire and lead team members as the Alliance grows.

What you bring to the table:

10+ years across business operations and business development or partnerships at a technology company, including building a program or organization from scratch.
Experience closing partnerships in APAC, with relationships across silicon, cloud, or AI.
Experience running a partner, alliance, or ecosystem program at scale: tiers, agreements, governance, and commitment tracking.
Experience working with legal teams on high-volume contract pipelines.
Strong analytical and writing skills: funnel models, KPI reporting, and process documents people use.
Technical fluency with AI infrastructure and open-source contribution models.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
8+ years of Product Management or related work experience
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Helpful, but not required:
Professional proficiency in Chinese
Experience with open-source foundations, consortia, or standards bodies, including governance, elections, or conformance programs.
What Modular brings to the table:
Amazing Team.
We are a progressive and agile team with some of the industry’s best engineering and product leaders.
