You lead important and exciting projects from day one, working alongside key stakeholders across the company. About the Team The Enterprise Data Program Management Office partners across all lines of business to deliver on data-related Top of House objectives and Enterprise wide initiatives championed by the Chief Data Officer. The PMO Leader is uniquely positioned to identify opportunities and solutions that cross Product, Program and Process management to influence and enable more efficient and effective program delivery for the company. Responsibilities of a Director Project Manager: Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and guarantee on-time delivery Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments The person will: Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of others through your leadership style Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience At least 10 years of project management experience At least 4 Years of People Management experience Preferred Qualifications: Masters / MBA degree 12+ years of project management experience 5+ years of people management experience PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer). The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Project Management Richmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
