An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Service Technician to join the Scylla In Service Support Team maintaining and repairing complex Sensor Systems fitted to Collins class Submarines. As a Field Service technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing state of the art equipment fitted to RAN ships, submarines, and land-based sites, ensuring optimal performance. Your key focus will be on supporting Thales equipment fitted to Collins Class Submarines under the ISS Contract. OUR BENEFITS: Industry aligned and competitive remuneration On vessel loading allowance on top of base salary Potential for on call allowance and short notice response bonus Monthly RDO scheme Fitness Passport Discount – Access to a network of Gyms across AUS Employee discounts with several affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech, Medical Insurance) Modernised Paid Parental Leave Veterans Leave Novated Lease options Personal & professional training development opportunities YOUR ROLE Working at our Rockingham site on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk and Binjareb Nyoongar peoples, your role purpose will be: The successful and professional conduct of maintenance and / or repair tasks Leading the technical aspects of a maintenance task Communicating with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers, ensuring task progression and relevant issues are reported Develop documents & capture of information within information systems relating to the conduct of maintenance and/or repair activities Assisting the Inventory Management team to receipt, packaging and despatch GFE/CFE as required ABOUT YOU To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience: Cert IV Electronic Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years relevant industry experience Certificate or training in Information Technology (networking) is desirable Experience in fault finding including analysis and documentation of process and results. Previous experience working within a Defence or Defence Industry environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced skills in MS Office GOOD TO KNOW Prior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks. Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance.
