The Position The Opportunity Shape Finance Excellence with Us! Join our dynamic Finance Chapter as a Placement Student. Drive process improvements – ensuring 'Right First Time' and directly contribute to achieving our Financial targets, all while delivering a market-leading customer experience. We are offering two full-time, hybrid roles based between our Burgess Hill office and home working. Expected start date: 1st July 2027 Key responsibilities include (Opportunity 1 - Focus on Credit Management): Partner with the organisation to ensure the delivery of Cash targets and manage the Accounts Receivable balance. Resolve customer queries in a timely manner by investigating potential root causes and working with various stakeholders to facilitate permanent corrections. Collaborate on initiatives to establish and maintain master data standards for improved data consistency. Proactively search for opportunities for process improvements focused on achieving 'Right First Time' outcomes, leveraging technology & automation to drive digitalisation. Key responsibilities include (Opportunity 2 - Focus on Customer Finance): Support month end close activities in order to generate customer invoices and supporting statements. Collaborate with the Customer Finance team in delivering the annual customer budget and pricing uplift process. Sales and Profitability analysis to support decision making through tenders. Analyse third party quotes for consolidation into tender proposals. Partner with the sales team to build, review and approve their customer proposals in our Global Deal Calculator. Proactively search for opportunities for process improvements focused on achieving 'Right First Time' outcomes, leveraging technology & automation to drive digitalisation. Who You Are Our Roche Diagnostics internship programme is a 13-months programme in Burgess Hill, Sussex, UK, designed for everyone currently searching for a placement year as part of their Finance, Business, or Accounting-related studies. We aren't looking for a finished expert; we are looking for someone with a passion for learning! As an ideal candidate, you are: Tech Curious: You have a good foundation in Excel, and you are excited about the idea of learning SAP. You have a natural interest in how new technologies like AI can make work more efficient. Process Minded: You have an interest in how businesses operate, from how a customer places an order to how large-scale contracts (like our Managed Laboratory Services (MLS)) function.
