Health, vision and dental start day one Employee stock discount 401K Match of 5% Job Description: The person hired for the position of General Operator will work at our 3M Indianapolis, IN plant site. As a General Operator you will have will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: Maintaining quality standards and safety standards Utilizing 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles Maintaining communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications. Basic Qualifications: Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start) Ability to work Rotating Shifts, Overtime, Extended Hours, Weekends, Holidays as needed, and short notice shift coverage. Two (2) months of operating production machinery in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Preferred Qualifications: Minimum six (6) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Active IPC Certification Applicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process. Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with 3M.
