Job Description: Enterprise 1B is a governance and control function that enables the businesses and corporate functions it supports to identify, understand, manage, and mitigate risks in alignment with the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite. This role supports Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA), which are part of Global Corporate Services. Global Corporate Services (GCS) brings together enterprise-wide capabilities spanning client and colleague experience, transformation, enterprise real estate, marketing , Corporate and Public Affairs, enterprise AI, and GCS 1B to help TD move faster, drive changes, engage colleagues, and deliver a more connected and More Human client experience. GCS 1B is hiring a Governance & Control (G&C) Specialist to lead the 1B governance and control relationship for Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA). CAPA protects and strengthens TD’s reputation, brand and market advantage, builds trust with critical stakeholders and communities, engages colleagues, and advances strategic priorities with policymakers. CAPA's function includes Communications, Government Relations, Public Affairs, Translation Services, Enterprise Sustainability, and Corporate Citizenship (Global Social Impact). Corporate Affairs serves as trusted advisors and partners to the CEO, Senior Executive Team, Board, and Lines of Business on issues that shape our reputation, brand, and positioning. As the Governance & Control partner for this function, the G&C Specialist will work with business leaders and stakeholders to help navigate evolving risk and control requirements and provide expertise, effective challenge, and oversight as strategies, initiatives, and operating practices are developed and executed. The role will ensure risks are identified, understood, managed, and mitigated in alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite. Specific responsibilities of this G&C Specialist position include, but are not limited to: Promote a strong governance and internal control environment. Support the application of relevant enterprise governance and control frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures, including those related to Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Privacy, and other applicable risk areas. Provide timely, practical risk and control expertise to enable CAPA to achieve their evolving mandates and embed effective governance and controls into business strategies, initiatives, and operating practices. Support the continued build-out and maturation of risk and control programs for the supported groups, including establishing fit-for-purpose risk reporting, governance forums, and oversight practices. Prepare and present clear risk and control insights, reporting, and recommendations for senior management and governance forums. Anticipate emerging risk trends and identify and escalate issues. Recommend appropriate actions and support the business in developing and executing remediation plans through to resolution. Support and provide effective challenge on a range of risk assessments, such as Change Risk Assessments (CRAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), in collaboration with business stakeholders, other 1B functions, and
