## Description

As Head of Factory Planning, you will lead the integrated planning organization that translates customer demand and business priorities into an executable factory plan. You create visibility of demand, supply, capacity, materials, logistics, and output constraints, and drive cross-functional decisions that protect customer commitments while improving flow, cost, and operational stability. You partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Business Planning, Finance, and the global factory network. The role establishes one aligned plan, clear priorities, and disciplined planning routines across the factory. Success requires strong people leadership, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries in a high-mix, high-complexity manufacturing environment. Role and responsibilities: Lead the Factory Planning organization with clear accountability, empowerment, performance management, and development of managers and planning professionals. Translate factory strategy, customer demand, product roadmaps, and business priorities into integrated short-, mid-, and long-term factory plans. Own the end-to-end factory planning cadence, including demand review, supply and capacity review, material readiness, production commitment, scenario planning, and executive escalation. Establish a single, fact-based view of factory demand, supply, capacity, cycle time, work in process, output, and delivery risk. Drive alignment on priorities and trade-offs across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Business Lines, and Plan & Deliver. Lead capacity planning for labor, equipment, cleanroom space, tooling, test capability, and critical factory infrastructure; identify gaps and trigger timely mitigation. Own factory-level material planning and logistics performance, including inbound and outbound flow, line-side availability, material handling, inventory health, and shortage escalation. Ensure reliable production schedules and build plans that reflect material, capacity, engineering, quality, and configuration constraints. Chair or enable planning governance and performance reviews, ensuring decisions, owners, due dates, and escalations are explicit and followed through. Develop recovery plans for output gaps and material or capacity constraints, and track execution until factory commitments are restored. Drive planning process standardization, master-data quality, system discipline, and adoption of common ways of working across the factory network. Use analytics and scenario modelling to expose risks early, evaluate alternatives, and support timely decisions by factory and business leadership. Improve delivery predictability, planning stability, cycle time, inventory effectiveness, and resource utilization through structured problem solving and continuous improvement. Ensure readiness for new product introduction, product transfers, ramp-ups, and dual-manufacturing strategies through integrated planning and operational risk management. Build strong interfaces with peer factories and central planning teams to share capacity, resolve network constraints, and align global manufacturing priorities. Develop and manage the department budget, workforce plan, competency roadmap, and succession pipeline. Create a culture of safety, quality, customer focus, collaboration, learning, and accountability across the planning organization. Communicate factory outlook, scenarios, risks, decisions, and support required in a concise, executive-ready manner. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Key accountabilities and performance outcomes: Reliable factory commitments and improved on-time delivery performance. Early visibility and active mitigation of material, capacity, logistics, and output risks. One aligned and executable factory plan across functions and planning horizons. Improved schedule adherence, planning stability, cycle time, inventory health, and operational
