Head of Legal & Compliance, Indonesia We’re hiring! We are looking for a Head of Legal & Compliance, Indonesia, based in our Jakarta office. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office. What the day will look like Legal Draft, review and negotiate Indonesian and English language contracts, in collaboration with Regional Legal and Contracts team, with clients, insurers, vendors, joint brokers, referrers and other third parties. Support Regional Contracts team and the business in responding to client RFPs from a legal and regulatory perspective. Provide legal input into strategic projects and new business initiatives in Indonesia, including wellbeing and other new solution offerings. Advise on employment law matters in coordination with HR and Regional Legal. Support and coordinate management of disputes, complaints and E&O matters in Indonesia. Support corporate and regulatory filings, including those relating to corporate structuring matters, with external counsel where needed. Compliance Serve as a local compliance point of contact for Indonesia, supporting implementation of Aon’s global, regional and local policies. Act as Indonesian country reviewer for Third Party requests and support the business in preparing high-quality submissions. Provide local support for Gift Entertainment/ Personal Conflict of Interest and other financial crime processes as needed. Assist with compliance review and approval activities, including entertainment, gifts, AML and third-party risk where relevant. Prepare and deliver training on legal, regulatory, conduct and compliance topics to Indonesian colleagues. Monitor Indonesian regulatory changes, including relevant OJK requirements, assess their impact, and coordinate implementation with the business and Regional L&C. Privacy Serve as the local point of contact for privacy and data protection matters for Aon Indonesia entities and liaise with Regional Privacy and Assurance teams. Provide privacy advice to the business and coordinate with external counsel on Indonesian data protection law matters where required. Support and monitor the delivery of Privacy Assurance and compliance programmes. Regulatory / Stakeholder Engagement Act as liaison with OJK and other relevant Indonesian regulators and authorities, as appropriate, in partnership with business leadership and Regional L&C. Build collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders, including industry associations and external counsel. Support internal and external audits and reviews relating to legal and compliance topics, including regulatory reviews or examinations where applicable. Skills and experience that will lead to success Qualified lawyer with significant legal and compliance experience, preferably within insurance, insurance broking, financial services or another regulated industry. Strong knowledge of the Indonesian legal and regulatory environment, with experience engaging with OJK and other relevant regulatory authorities. Strong commercial contracting experience, including drafting and negotiating agreements in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Sound knowledge of compliance, financial crime, third-party risk, conflicts of interest, privacy and data protection requirements. Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and translate complex legal and regulatory matters into practical, commercially focused solutions. Comfortable operating in a hands-on country role while collaborating effectively with regional Legal, Compliance, Privacy and business teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English. #LI-HYBRID
