The position will be responsible for leading industrial performance, utilising existing plant and machinery, identifying opportunities to improve and develop industrial systems, demonstrate cutting edge technologies and support the performance and ramp-up of Kinston plant programmes through industrial structure breakdown and interfaces, manufacturing and assembly flow description, industrial processes, technology selection, transportation and handling, jigs and tools for assembly lines, line design and industrial performance (costs, cycle times, workload, rate, ramp up etc.). to ensure efficient and effective flow of production in Kinston plant. There will be a strong focus on identifying potential improvements to the existing production plant, maintaining production levels whilst targeting reductions in ‘travelled work’, as well as some external resource Management. Your Challenges: Industrial System Evolution: (45%) ● Ensure the Kinston Industrial System is synchronized to production requirements, identifying and correcting the system as necessary to maintain efficient and effective production processes. ● Analyse plant performance data with a view to identifying improvement opportunities. ● Identify and implement improvements to the Industrial System through continuous improvement techniques. ● Establish and report clear KPI’s to demonstrate performance to both functional leadership and site leadership where appropriate. ● Link with other Airbus plants to ensure best practices are shared.
