Check out our public roadmap to see what’s coming next! Mission of this role As an interim Senior QA Specialist at Rentman, you make sure every release reaches customers without regressions. You own the test strategy across our 3 product teams and finish moving regression testing from a manual release-day cycle to an automated, shift-left E2E suite. Without this role, quality depends on manual testing on release day, bugs show up in staging or production, and the move to automated testing stalls. This is an interim position: the duration is still to be confirmed, and the role ends once the assignment is complete. What you'll do Join refinement with the product teams and write Gherkin (Given/When/Then) acceptance specs that developers turn into tests Test new features on staging, going beyond the acceptance criteria to find edge cases, and file clear, reproducible bug reports in Jira Write and review Playwright tests (TypeScript) in the frontend repo, and review developer-written tests in pull requests Monitor the daily automated regression run in GitHub Actions, triage failures the same day, and fix flaky tests at the root cause Run release-day regression and the OWASP ZAP security scan for each release, and give a clear go / no-go call Migrate the remaining legacy tests and decide what is worth automating and what stays manual Organise cross-team QA days and coach developers so they own their tests What we are looking for 5+ years in QA on web applications At least 2 years writing and maintaining UI test automation in code (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium, ideally TypeScript/JavaScript), not only record-and-play tools Strong manual and exploratory testing, with bug reports developers can act on without follow-up questions You have defined a test strategy (what to automate, what to test manually, coverage), not only executed test cases Experience running automated tests in CI (GitHub Actions or similar) You get developers to adopt new habits through pairing, good examples and clear specs, not by policing Nice to haves Experience with complex B2B SaaS Playwright specifically, and Gherkin / BDD Experience leading a shift-left change or coaching developers to own their tests API testing (REST, Postman or similar) Basic security testing (e.g. OWASP ZAP) Mobile app testing (iOS / Android) What you’ll get Competitive salary based on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance A results-based bonus based on company performance (up to a full 13th month's salary) 25 vacation days to recharge Earn an extra day of PTO for each year at Rentman, from your second anniversary up to five years.
