Procurement is responsible for working with teams to contract indirect goods and services (non-retail). Our goal is to support indirect spend per the Delegation of Authority Policy by identifying sourcing opportunities, ensuring contract requirements are met, and operationalizing negotiated vendor agreements. We use good data, in-depth analysis and cross-functional insights to identify and communicate the best practices that elevate our sourcing and procurement work to its highest potential. A role with Procurement Services is a chance to positively impact several key areas of Target’s business by: Promoting best practices across the entire company by developing deep knowledge and client relationships in each spend category Providing expert integrated business planning and stakeholder management for all indirect items and services Applying intelligent rate, demand and specification levers to source, negotiate and contract services while sustainably lowering costs Propelling the business with accurate and comprehensive demand forecasting, financial planning and item setup Changing the game for our internal online catalog end users by making the entire buying process faster and simpler Helping us cultivate Target’s partnerships with diverse, community-minded suppliers who are committed to economic development and job growth Primary Function As a Lead Specialist, you will be managing operational deliverables as well as driving enterprise initiatives in partnership with teams across the organization. Your key responsibilities would include: Supporting store team members with queries related to Indirect procurement leveraging available resources like applications, knowledge documents and Standard operating procedures Contributing to Purchasing Chat bot program – You would need to partner with Capella and business teams to: Drive results through data analysis and identifying Chatbot enhancement opportunities, contribute to bot design and testing, share business context with the technical team during development stage Lead bot performance monitoring and reporting of metrics to leadership team Build partnership with Capella team and Store Operations team to resolve technical issues promptly and achieve increased bot adoption by stores Leading Indirect Category management – Demonstrate expertise across all Indirect categories and contribute to Category management program through: Analysis of data related to indirect categories and identifying business requirement or trends; take the lead in resolving procurement related issues by partnering with teams across the organization Leverage category data to identify opportunities for Chat bot enhancement for improved store team member experience Monitor key metrics and report category performance to leadership and Planning team Managing Purchase order creation and amendment process for commodities and services, ensuring accurate and timely delivery Supporting creation and maintenance of Knowledge Articles and process documents for respective categories About You: 3 - 5 years procurement experience with record of increased responsibility and/or complexity Strong problem solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in handling data, data cleaning and deriving insights from the same Basic project management skills apart from using productivity tools like Jira, Confluence etc., Passion for owing processes end to end by actively communicating with US partners Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders in order to solve a problem Systems knowledge including SAP - Ariba, Microsoft Office and other systems Know More About Us here: Life at Target : https://india.target.com/
