Job Overview The Manager, Product Group Engineering leads a team of technology and product engineers responsible for the design, development, integration, and lifecycle management of digital and technology solutions supporting DePuy Synthes R&D and product platforms. This role partners closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and high‑impact technology solutions that enable innovation, speed to market, and operational excellence. This is a people‑leader role with both technical depth and strong cross‑functional influence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of product group engineers responsible for delivering technology solutions across R&D and product platforms, ensuring alignment to business and technology strategies. Own the end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of product‑aligned technology solutions. Partner with Product Management, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders to translate business and scientific needs into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions. Ensure engineering practices adhere to applicable regulatory, quality, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements relevant to medical technology and R&D environments. Drive engineering excellence through standardized processes, design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage delivery commitments, resource planning, budgets, and vendor relationships to meet timelines, cost, and quality objectives. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance management to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership, and proactively escalate issues that may impact delivery or compliance. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred. Experience and Skills Required: 6–8 years of progressive experience in software, systems, or product engineering within regulated or complex technology environments. Hands‑on experience with modern software development practices, system integration, and product lifecycle management technologies. Working knowledge of SDLC, agile and/or hybrid delivery models, and engineering quality controls.
