Wood is currently recruiting for a Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) to join the team for an immediate start, supporting construction activities on a major EPCM project for a key client project in Chonburi, Thailand . Leading by example, you will consistently display and enforce Wood values and behaviour and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour to ensure safe, reliable operations and client satisfaction. You will thrive on the challenge of balancing technical, team, client, and project leadership in this key site-based role with your focus on relationships and delivery, enabling you to anticipate project needs beyond the immediate scope. You will drive technical excellence and assurance on the painting and insulation portion while working in close partnership with other disciplines and the client, to enable robust technical decisions that ultimately add value to the client and project. In addition, you will: Key Responsibilities Lead and chair PSSR reviews Ensure integration of PSSR with: Commissioning priorities Startup philosophy SIMOPS (particularly critical for brownfield sites) Technical & Safety Assurance Verify that: Systems are mechanically complete and fully tested Safety-critical systems (ESD, F&G, relief systems) are operational and validated Control systems, interlocks, and cause & effect functions are functional Ensure that: Hazard study actions (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL) are fully closed or formally deferred Operating procedures are completed, reviewed, and approved Emergency response and readiness plans are established and communicated Brownfield-Specific Responsibilities Manage risks associated with: Live plant interfaces and SIMOPS
