About the Role: As a Capital One Principal Associate, Software Engineering you’ll bring your unique and extensive experience, perspective and strong communication skills to work hand in hand with tech and business leaders to shape the future technical direction of Card Tech and beyond. You’ll help: Drive AI-powered Developer Productivity: develop and scale modern AI developer capabilities, such as local MCP integrations, token optimization techniques, and OpenSpec standards. Optimize the Inner Loop: standardize developer environments and speed up feedback loops using Dev Containers, smart PR validation workflows, and automated code review optimizations. Enhance Enterprise Infrastructure: support key initiatives around GitHub ecosystem management, internal library optimization, and developer tooling efficiency at enterprise scale. Lead and Innovate: partner closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and business stakeholder to turn developer friction into automated, high-impact solutions. Your Responsibilities: Work on a variety of projects focusing on full stack development, infrastructure, tooling, platform engineering, developer experience and data engineering.
