ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer - Power Electronics to lead the design and development of advanced power electronics subsystems for mission-critical applications. The role focuses on high-frequency power conversion, motor drives, embedded motion control, and analog/digital power electronics solutions. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through testing, certification, and deployment. This position offers the opportunity to drive innovation, mentor engineering teams, and shape future power electronics technology roadmaps. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design, development, and optimization of power electronics subsystems, including high-frequency power converters, motor drives, and control systems. Develop and validate designs using simulation, modelling, and testing tools to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with system requirements. Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers on power electronics design, testing, and best practices. Drive technology development initiatives and contribute to long-term engineering strategies, capability growth, and product innovation. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Minimum 12 years of experience in power electronics development, with expertise in high-frequency power conversion and motion control systems. Strong background in analog, digital, and embedded control system design, integration, verification, and testing. Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Altium, and other power electronics design and simulation tools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience within the defence, aerospace, guided weapons, or precision-guided munitions sector. Experience with embedded firmware development, EMI/EMC compliance, and power electronics certification standards.
