Your opportunity As one of Scandit's Product Engineers, you will work as part of the product squad to evaluate and build out our solution capabilities using multi-barcode reading, tracking, augmented reality, and text recognition. You will partner closely across the software engineering and product teams to develop new products and features, as well as continuously optimize our existing products. You'll ensure new developments and features meet our performance, user experience, and enterprise-grade standards, while solving customers' challenges along the way. Based on a hypothesis-driven discovery approach with direct customer feedback, you'll collect data and evidence to understand the challenges and product requirements in detail. Daily interaction with our engineering teams will ensure a fast feedback loop and agile development. Responsibilities include working with customers to understand their needs, building proof of concepts, and evaluating the technical performance of existing products. This ensures data capture quality and performance meet enterprise-grade standards at every stage of development, including rebuilding setups and replicating customer use cases in our labs. As an ideal candidate, you have initial programming experience, and you're interested in building functional prototypes and test setups with a strong focus on user and customer needs. You're data-driven and thrive in fast-paced evaluation work. You enjoy communicating with technical or business stakeholders, as well as discussing product specifications with the wider product team. Work closely together with engineering and the wider product team to define product quality metrics of prototypes and products Build test systems for measuring the quality and performance of new product features or improvements Evaluate and drive the analysis of customer feedback and requests Who we look for Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, ideally with an industrial engineering or robotics background 2+ years of industry experience Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills A metric- and data-driven mindset Interest in working on the intersection of engineering and business Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written Eligible to work in Finland and available to work at our Tampere office at least 3 days per week The good stuff Here are just some of the reasons why people choose to build their career at Scandit: We are certified as a “Great Place to Work” in 7 countries!
