## Description

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join Our Product Marketing Managers work backwards from the ideal experience for guests and hosts, turning product thinking, data, and research into strategy. They lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data science, program management, and marketing, and they stay detail-oriented and hands-on. The Guest product team builds the end-to-end journey guests take with us, from the first idea through the trip itself. Trips is where that journey comes together: the place guests see their reservations, plan what to do, coordinate with their group, and add experiences and services to their stay. The Difference You Will Make Airbnb is expanding beyond stays into experiences and services. Trips is where that growth happens: guests who have already booked a stay discover and book everything else for their trip. As Product Marketing Manager for Trips, you'll help build that business from its early stages into a habit for millions of guests. You'll own the feature roadmap across much of the Trips program and make the calls on scope and priority with your design and engineering teams. You'll lead those teams from brief to launch, use a steady cadence of experiment results to decide what to build next, and grow the share of trips that include experiences, services, and more. You'll also craft the product narrative that explains each release to leadership internally and to guests externally. A Typical Day Translate business goals into product briefs and requirements for new Trips features, each grounded in a real guest need Drive execution with engineering, design, data science, and program management, from concept through launch and iteration, often with many features in flight at once Shape how and when we suggest the next booking: in-app placements, personalized ranking, offers, and lifecycle messaging across the guest's trip Work with supply, partnerships, and operations teams so the experiences, services, and partner offerings guests see are relevant, available, and easy to book Partner with data scientists and engineers on the experiments they run in product, synthesize the outcomes, and make clear calls on what to scale, iterate on, or stop Make prioritization calls when guest experience, business impact, and engineering cost pull against each other, and keep partners aligned Present strategy and results in leadership reviews, turning complex tradeoffs into clear decisions and concise narratives Your Expertise 8+ years in product marketing or product management, with a track record of moving a core growth metric (conversion, attach, frequency, or revenue per customer) through features you led to launch Strong execution: you've led cross-functional teams through complex launches on time and at a high quality bar, often with several features in flight at once Experience working on two-sided marketplaces or multi-product platforms, balancing what's right for customers with what makes supply and partners successful Fluent in experiment results: you can define what a test needs to learn, read growth metrics alongside guardrails like satisfaction and retention, and turn them into product decisions Strong judgment of consumer product quality, and a clear sense of what makes an experience useful and delightful Ability to earn the trust of engineering, design, and data science partners and lead without formal authority Clear, structured communicator who can distill complex tradeoffs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance for teams Experience at a fast-growing consumer marketplace, launching a new category or business line
