Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Production Manager to join our Production team in Portsmouth. As a key member of the management team, you will lead , develop, and engage a production team to deliver high-reliability products by optimising, resource planning and interfacing directly with the shop floor, you will ensure our products are delivered on time, on quality, and on cost within a safe and healthy environment. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEA M Manage, lead, and engage a production team to meet stringent time, quality, cost, and safety requirements. Execute Management Resource Planning (balancing manpower and machines) to optimise facility and resource availability on the shop floor. Define and update the global production planning, ensuring successful delivery of multiple projects running in parallel according to given priorities. Interface closely with the shop floor to ensure effective communication, seamless execution, and alignment with the overall production plan. Manage allocated work packages and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment. Ensure all manufacturing outputs are delivered in a safe, healthy environment, respecting all health, safety, and legal regulations. ABOUT YOU Experience of leading production and optimising resource planning (manpower and machines) within a high-reliability manufacturing environment. Experience of project planning, P6 scheduling, and defining global production plans across multiple parallel projects. Experience of work package management, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor. Experience of utilising manufacturing systems (knowledge of SAP Manufacturing Execution Systems is advantageous). Not a 100% match? No worries!
