## Description

About the role We are looking for a Quality Control Development Scientist to join our Quality Control team at our Hillhouse site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing our analytical capability. You will design, validate, implement and continuously improve Quality Control test methods that support our production processes, products and analytical equipment. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Quality Control, Manufacturing, R&D and Industrialisation, you will help ensure our analytical methods and equipment remain safe, compliant, efficient and aligned with the evolving needs of the business. Key responsibilities In this role, you will: Design, develop, implement and maintain compliant test methods for new and existing raw materials, process streams and products, applying relevant industry standards and best practice. Develop and embed new test methods, including completing validation activities and providing effective training to the QC team. Establish calibration protocols and maintenance schedules for analytical equipment, ensuring methods meet the required quality and safety standards. Source, validate and integrate new analytical equipment to ensure QC capability meets current and future business requirements. Support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, products and analytical capability through improvement and development programmes. Provide analytical support during the commissioning and integration of process analytical chemistry within manufacturing plants. Lead the analytical aspects of new technology transfers from R&D and Industrialisation, supporting the successful transition of projects into business-as-usual operations. Manage development projects that may typically run over a one to two-year period. What we’re looking for You will have: A HND, degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline. In-depth knowledge of applied chemistry and materials science within an analytical environment. Experience of delivering fully validated projects using a range of statistical and analytical techniques. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver technical projects effectively. Excellent communication and influencing skills, including experience of working with cross-functional teams. The ability to translate complex data and analysis into clear, meaningful information that supports effective decision-making. Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to apply technical knowledge against established internal standards. A Six Sigma Green Belt qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
