This position reports to: Quality & Operational Excellence Leader __ In this role, you will help drive the local quality strategy by strengthening quality culture, systems, tools, and capabilities to meet and exceed customer expectations. You will champion prevention and continuous improvement, support effective root cause analysis and rapid problem resolution, and ensure solutions deliver lasting results. Each day, through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will help achieve quality objectives and advance the organization toward world-class performance. The work model for this role is not at an ABB office location. You will be working in the field, visiting various customer sites in the Houston, TX metro area. Key Responsibilities Support specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility. Assist in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization. Utilize quality data analytics from the organization to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances. Facilitate resolution of customer cases by following a robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent technical education and relevant experience. 2 or more years of prior quality engineering experience. Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, general arrangements, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, weld documentation, and inspection/test records. Working knowledge of structured problem solving, NCR/SCAR processes, corrective action, and objective evidence. Effective written and verbal communication with suppliers, customers, Engineering, PMO, and field teams.
