Pennsylvania, United States of America Job Family Group: Production and Manufacturing Downstream Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: October 9, 2026 Business Unit: Downstream and Renewables Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: What’s the role Shell is seeking a Rotating Equipment Inspector to join its team in Monaca, PA. The Rotating Equipment Inspector works in conjunction with Site Technical Engineering to provide Rotating Equipment assurance to the Area Production Team. The Inspector is responsible for first point of contact for troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues from maintenance and operations, including non-business hours. The Rotating Equipment Inspector reports to the unit Technical Unit Supervisor. Generally, the Rotating Equipment Inspector manages short-to-medium term rotating equipment topics in the production team such as Intelatrac responses, operator instructions, maintenance instructions, Maintenance Execution (ME) Notification responses, MTBR metrics, 5-Why Failure Cause Analysis, MOC PSSR field assurance, execution of proactive technical monitoring, development of repair scopes, and general day-to-day operating business. The Inspector escalates concerns to the Site Technical Engineering. The Inspector may participate in design review for discipline MOCs but is generally not a Technical Authority. The Inspector builds ITP (Inspection Test Plans) for equipment repairs and may work with the Engineer for day-to-day activities that pertain to vital or essential equipment. The Rotating Equipment Inspector should achieve general knowledge of production processes and how the machinery interfaces with those processes. Accountabilities: Read and respond to rotating equipment-related issues in operations shift reports Review equipment maintenance notifications from the previous day Attend the morning Production Team Meeting. Assist in prioritizing daily activities for the area rotating equipment team Troubleshoot abnormal conditions and respond to operations and maintenance requests for engineering or equipment issues. Review equipment repairs, assist in failure analysis of equipment, and issue failure reports Collaborate in the development of equipment repair specifications and scopes, including setting quality assurance hold and witness points and executing those holds and witnesses Review equipment health using Proactive Technical Monitoring Hub, PI Vision, SmartConnect, and other monitoring tools Provide training and feedback to operations and maintenance personnel to improve personal safety, process safety, cost, efficiency, and reliability, including updating critical documents within Shell’s management systems. Provide assurance to operations machinery-related procedures Perform continuous improvement activities, including entry of proactive monitoring change requests Provide input to and detailing of work scopes developed by the Site Engineering team for outages and turnarounds and support maintenance coordination for that scope Correct and review equipment Bills of Material (BOMs) in GSAP/CMMS and submit New Inventory Requests (NIRs) to correct BOM discrepancies Daily short-to-medium term threat proactive monitoring Daily Intelatrac exception review Semi-weekly unit field walks at a minimum Support operations and maintenance craft personnel through informal training as needed Maintain vibration measurement KPIs and perform monthly vibration monitoring reviews Mitigate or initiate corrective actions for vibration alerts Perform monthly lubrication condition report reviews and initiate actions to correct lubrication deficiencies Perform monthly MTBR and equipment failure compilation and review What you bring Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred At least 8 years of mechanical equipment experience, experience in a petrochemical facility is preferred but
