## Description

Trust unlocks our greatest potential. For decades, the clearing of payments remained unchanged and unchallenged. We asked, what if there was a better way? What if we could make banking infrastructure faster, safer, more reliable, and easier to access for all? Here is where you can think radically and responsibly to find the best solution. What happens when you know you’re inherently trusted? Trust creates safety. Safety encourages you to be brave, to challenge, to fail, to try new things and to execute. At ClearBank everything revolves around trust. We’re not expected to earn it, but we are expected not to break it. We’re trusted to own it. To solve issues in the moment. To know a good risk when we see one, and the judgement to know that ‘can’ doesn’t always mean you ‘should’. What you can expect: ClearBank is a place where you can do things differently and challenge the status quo. We will give you a high level of autonomy and transparency, and we trust you to make the right decisions for the bank. If that excites you, how about joining our Financial Crime Intelligence & Investigations Team as a Financial Crime SAR Manager? Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll act as a subject matter expert for financial crime intelligence analysis across our client base. Including conducting analysis of potential suspicious activity across a range of financial crime escalations, producing reports for both internal and external audiences, and providing support across the wider team where needed. Candidates need to have proven experience in financial crime intelligence across different payment platforms and services. You’ll also have an excellent understanding of financial crime typologies, detection methods and intelligence analysis techniques, and share this knowledge with other members of the team. You’ll be comfortable working in an energetic environment and dealing with change whilst taking pride in owning and mitigating financial crime risk for the business. You’ll demonstrate the confidence to raise concerns, shape strategic thinking and make well-informed decisions. You’ll bring strong knowledge of payment services, together with extensive technical and regulatory expertise across financial crime and sanctions in the UK and other jurisdictions, including relevant reporting obligations. You’ll also have a proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risk across the business. Your role includes: Leading complex financial crime investigations and providing senior-level oversight, challenge and direction on material or high-risk cases Overseeing the allocation and prioritisation of investigative activity, ensuring resources are effectively deployed and key regulatory and operational deadlines are met Building and managing effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, providing clear advice, challenge and escalation on financial crime matters Providing oversight of financial crime risks associated with existing and emerging products and services, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are developed and implemented Driving the development of financial crime, sanctions and money laundering typology knowledge across the team and wider business Overseeing complex end-to-end enquiries and ensuring appropriate, timely and risk-based outcomes Directing and overseeing research and intelligence activity to support the identification, assessment and investigation of potentially suspicious activity Providing oversight and approval of relevant regulatory reports and disclosures, ensuring compliance with applicable AML legislation, regulation and reporting obligations Accountable for team outcomes and responsible for complex/high risk decision making Applying extensive technical and regulatory expertise to identify control weaknesses, assess risk exposure and influence appropriate remediation Acting as a senior subject matter expert on financial crime and maintaining awareness of emerging AML trends,
