Role Overview As one of our Senior Claims Handlers within Bodily Injury, you’ll be assisting and supporting our customers by proactively managing a portfolio of cases, investigating liability and third party presented quantum claims - Damage and Personal Injury claims up to the value of £50,000 – and agreeing fair outcomes within policy and legal liability. Job Details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in: Gathering of information to enable early arrival at the correct liability decision giving consideration to economic settlement and proactively securing appropriate recoveries to limit business exposure Settling Third Party claims within your financial handling authority to achieve the optimum claims settlement using department and best practice strategies, whilst avoiding unjustified litigation and unnecessary spend Identifying potential fraudulent cases and liaising with the relevant departments to combat fraud Negotiating between the customer, solicitors and third parties to get the best outcome for our customers Managing and owning the customer experience (including third party), ensuring adherence at all times to the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and internal processes and procedures Managing and maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring service level agreements, policies and governance arrangements are adhered to Essential Skills/Experience: Previous experience in managing bodily injury/personal injury claims up to £50,000 Excellent problem-solving capability with an outstanding level of communication (both verbal and written) Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with a customer centric focus and able to build strong relationships The Interview Process Recruiter screening call 1st stage interview with hiring leader 2nd interview with hiring leaders leader As a Disability Confident employer, we’re committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are fully inclusive – what this means to you is if you’re applying for a job with us, you’ll have fair access to support and adjustments throughout your recruitment journey.
