## Description

You design beautiful homes, and you own the design direction. We build wellness-first communities for the U.S. market. Let’s talk. Location: Remote, India (with daily overlap with U.S. hours) Type: Full-time, senior individual contributor (senior IC) Reports to: Leadership Pay: USD 2,000–4,000 per month, based on experience Start: Immediately or within 30 days To apply: Portfolio required About Sanctuary Sanctuary builds nature - led, wellness - centered communities that feel alive. Our first 135-acre residential community in the Texas Hill Country is designed with: 🌱 Non-toxic materials 💧 Clean water and filtration systems ⚡ EMF-conscious design 🌿 135 acres of preserved land and eco - sensitive planning We are a global team (spread across 8 countries) of designers, architects, engineers, and dreamers building spaces that restore and inspire. For us, it’s not just where people live - it’s how they live. Our vision is to bring Sanctuary to major cities around the world: healthy, sovereign communities that sit on the edges of every modern metropolis. About the role You’ll set the design bar for every Sanctuary home. That means how light enters a room, how a house sits on the land, and how materials and nature work together to support wellbeing. This is a hands-on senior role, not a management one. You’ll take projects from first sketch through design development, then partner with our architecture leads, BIM team, and U.S. consultants to carry that intent into construction. Here’s what makes it different. At a large firm, design direction usually comes from above. Here, it comes from you. We need someone who takes a brief, pushes it further, and defends the call with confidence. If you thrive on ownership and move fast when priorities shift, you’ll fit right in. What you’ll own Lead concept and design development. Shape residential buildings and community spaces from concept through DD: massing, floor plans, elevations, and material palettes. Turn wellness into buildable design. Translate our nature-led principles into clear, practical solutions. Test options quickly, then bring a clear recommendation. Design for the land. Respond to the site, landscape, light, and climate of the Texas Hill Country, and help shape the 135-acre master plan and future sites. Set and hold the standard. Build design guidelines, material libraries, and reference standards. Review the wider team’s work and give clear, constructive feedback. Present and defend your work. Create sketches, renderings, and presentations for leadership, partners, and buyers. Explain your decisions to technical and non-technical audiences alike. What you bring Must-haves: 6–10 years of architectural design experience, focused on residential or hospitality A portfolio of built or well-developed work that shows real design sensibility Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture A track record of taking projects from concept through DD on your own Confidence presenting and defending design decisions to architects, consultants, and leadership Comfort working with high autonomy on a remote, cross-cultural team Nice-to-haves: Sustainable, biophilic, or wellness-focused design experience U.S. real estate projects or time at an international firm Your toolkit Revit (required) Why you’ll love it here Your design direction shapes real homes from day one A direct line to leadership, with no layers in between Work on U.S. projects from India, with flexible hours A mission that matters: homes that help people live healthier How we hire Three steps, built to respect your time: Intro call. Your experience, role fit, and how you like to work. Design task. A short assignment so we can see how you think. Final interview. A deep dive into workflows, expectations, and growth.
