Senior Director Engineering - Connected Trip Experience & Data As Senior Director Engineering, you will lead the engineering organisation behind the Connected Trip: the experiences travelers use to plan, search, book and manage a whole trip, the shared foundations those experiences are built on, and the data and AI spine that makes them intelligent. Marketplace runs the common parts of Booking.com's website and app, plus company-wide capabilities including user experience, the experimentation platform, measurement and operational ML models. That means the systems your teams build reach travelers across 28M+ listings, 174,000 destinations and 44 languages, and are depended on by every business unit in the company. We hire the best and the brightest professionals, and we empower them to innovate, you need to have: First hand experience of building customer centric experiences at scale on AI, Mobile, and web platforms in partnership with Product Experience of leading technology organisations at scale Demonstrable experience of partnership with senior stakeholders in and out of technology across matrix organisations Deep engineering and technology leadership background who can influence and shape our technology narrative including engineering best practice, AI adoption and modernisation Demonstrable experience at building and growing a collaborative, high trust and focused organisation Demonstrable experience of leading organisations involved in data & AI products & services Role can be based in Amsterdam or Manchester.
