Wood is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore team in support of a major EPCM chemical plant project on an initial 24-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of a large-scale chemical processing facility, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable electrical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This role is based in Singapore and will play a key role in the successful execution of a significant chemical industry development from engineering through to project delivery. Key responsibilities include: Developing electrical engineering designs for chemical and process plant facilities Preparing and reviewing electrical deliverables including single line diagrams, load lists, motor schedules, equipment specifications, cable schedules, power system studies, and requisition packages Designing and specifying LV, MV, and HV power distribution systems Supporting electrical equipment selection, procurement activities, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews Coordinating with process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, civil, telecommunications, and project management disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery Performing or reviewing electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash, relay coordination, and protection studies Supporting hazardous area classification requirements and electrical design for hazardous locations Participating in HAZOPs, design reviews, constructability reviews, and project risk assessments Providing technical support during construction, commissioning, and plant start-up activities Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the development of the electrical
