## Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Java Specialty Payments Software Engineer to join our Global Payments and Liquidity team to be part of the transformation initiative leveraging GenAI to accelerate development and build new capabilities. In this role as an AI engineer, you will develop cutting edge artificial intelligence solutions using large language models, agentic frameworks, and the spec-driven SDLC. The ideal candidate would have knowledge in designing, developing, and deploying applications leveraging LLM models and systems, with a strong focus on Prompt Engineering, Fine Tuning, RAG implementation and Agentic frameworks. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com In this role, you will: Design, develop, and deploy AI applications using Enterprise APIs, LLM's, agent frameworks, and other related technologies Collaborate with enterprise teams to integrate LLM models with the existing products and systems Develop and maintain large scale applications using Java, Python, containerization, and other relevant technologies Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, LLM second agentic frameworks and apply this knowledge to improve existing systems and develop new ones Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to applications and models Assist other individuals in advanced software development Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4+ years' experience in software development leveraging Python, Java or similar technologies 4+ years' experience in Kubernetes, Docker containers, and other relevant technologies 3+ years of AI and ML concepts, including deep learning, natural language processing and computer vision Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of Chatbots, Transformer models, SWE-Bench is preferred Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams Experience with the agile development methodologies and version control systems such as GIT Certification in AI, machine learning or a related field Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence or a related field ​ Locations: 300 S Brevard St., Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 125 High St.-Boston, Massachusetts 0211 Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
