What you'll be doing We are looking for an experienced Magento Senior Developer to join our ecommerce development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Magento based applications to support our ecommerce operations. You will also focus on rewriting and optimizing legacy projects built by third parties, ensuring they adhere to Magento standards and best practices. To succeed in this role, you should have a deep understanding of Magento's architecture, excellent coding skills, and a passion for automation and scalability. A strong grasp of CI/CD workflows and ecommerce application development is essential. Ultimately, a top class Magento Senior Developer will ensure high performing, secure, and scalable solutions while improving development processes. Responsibilities: · Collaborating with the development and product team to discuss and implement ecommerce solutions. · Reviewing and analyzing requirements, designs, and third party integrations for Magento based projects. · Rewriting and refactoring projects developed by third parties to align with Magento best practices and standards. · Developing custom modules and extending Magento functionality using the Magento API. · Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing Magento based applications for performance and scalability. · Implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and maintain code integrity. · Ensuring adherence to Magento coding standards, security guidelines, and automation practices. · Maintaining and improving integrations with third party services such as payment gateways, CRMs, and marketing platforms. · Profiling and improving the performance of backend components. · Writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and automated regression tests. · Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing optimizations. · Documenting development processes, configurations, and best practices for team collaboration. What you’ll need to succeed · Proven experience as a Magento 2 Developer, with a minimum of 5 years in ecommerce application development. · Strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture, including module development, APIs, and customizations. · In depth understanding of PHP and MySQL. · Experience rewriting or refactoring legacy Magento projects created by third parties. · Proficiency in CI/CD
