## Description

Customers should be able to trust the savings they see and confidently decide whether now is a good time to buy. Amazon's Price Perception and Evaluation team works to earn that trust by grounding savings claims in reliable pricing evidence and making historical prices easier to understand. Our portfolio includes the comparison prices used to show savings, Price History, and the historical pricing inputs used by deals and promotions. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management - Technical to lead this worldwide product portfolio. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning product management, technical program management, and analytics. You will own the long-term product vision and investment priorities, partnering with engineering leaders to deliver measurable customer outcomes. You will define how comparison prices are selected and validated to provide a trustworthy basis for displaying savings and strikethrough prices. Your portfolio also includes Price History and the historical pricing inputs used to validate promotions. You will extend these capabilities across countries and shopping missions, including programs that help customers shop for groceries with sub-same-day delivery. Working with shopping-experience teams, you will shape how customers and AI shopping assistants use historical pricing information to understand value. The role requires judgment about what pricing evidence supports a savings comparison and how to make that comparison useful to customers. You will work with worldwide business leaders to establish consistent product standards while addressing local requirements. You will also partner with selling-partner teams to explain reference-price outcomes and make questions easier to resolve. We are looking for a leader who can set direction through ambiguity and develop senior product owners who make sound decisions independently. You should be comfortable moving from a multi-year strategy to the underlying data behind a single customer experience. You will bring the technical judgment to challenge assumptions in complex pricing systems and the product judgment to simplify them. Key job responsibilities - Hire, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary product organization. Establish clear ownership, raise the quality of product thinking and written narratives, and build a succession pipeline. - Own the worldwide portfolio strategy, multi-year roadmap, and annual operating plan. Make explicit investment and sequencing decisions across customer improvements, data quality, and platform simplification. - Set product standards for reference-price validation and historical pricing information. Protect customer trust while expanding useful coverage across products, countries, and business models. - Lead the product direction for Price History and the historical pricing inputs used by deals and promotions. Partner with Promotions on requirements while maintaining clear ownership of each team's decisions. - Partner with engineering leaders on technical strategy and delivery commitments. Evaluate tradeoffs in data collection, computation, APIs, and serving, including accuracy, freshness, scalability, and cost. - Lead worldwide launches with regional pricing and business teams, including teams supporting grocery shopping with sub-same-day delivery. Enable partner teams to extend reusable capabilities while maintaining consistent product standards. - Establish measures of customer understanding and reference-price quality, alongside business outcomes and selling-partner impact. Use research, experiments, and direct investigation of customer anecdotes to guide decisions. - Improve how selling partners understand reference-price outcomes by defining clear explanation requirements and partnering with seller-facing teams on guidance and support experiences. - Develop the product roadmap for reliable pricing information in AI-assisted shopping.
