## Description

Join us in building intelligent robotic systems that perceive, learn, and act in the real world. You'll develop the computer vision, machine learning, and control systems that power our first-of-its-kind robotic workcells, working across prototypes in the lab and deployed systems at scale. As a Software Engineer on the Vulcan team, you'll work on end-to-end robotic systems that combine hardware and software innovation. You will build and operate the ML infrastructure that powers robotic workcells across Amazon's fulfillment network - training pipelines, model deployment systems, data pipelines, model monitoring systems that ensure our ML models perform reliably at scale. You'll partner with hardware engineers, roboticists, and data scientists to integrate your software into functioning workcells. You'll also participate in monitoring system performance, conducting A/B tests on new features, and troubleshooting issues as they arise in both controlled lab environments and production deployments. This role offers the opportunity to see your code directly impact physical systems and to learn from an interdisciplinary team building every layer of the robotic stack. Key job responsibilities - Deploy computer vision and machine learning systems that enable robots to perceive and grasp their environment - Build and maintain ML training and evaluation pipelines for computer vision and manipulation models - Design model deployment and rollback infrastructure across lab and production robotic workcells - Develop data pipelines for ingesting, curating, and versioning training data from robotic fleet telemetry - Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and alerting to ensure production model health - Automate experiment tracking, A/B testing, and model validation workflows - Own CI/CD for ML — automated testing, packaging, and promotion of model artifacts - Partner with ML scientists and roboticists to operationalize research models into production systems A day in the life Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and children.
