Job Function: Project/Program Management Group Job Sub Function: Technology Project Management Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Sassenheim, Netherlands Job Description: Project Manager Transcend | Sassenheim, the Netherlands About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager - CAR-T Transcend to lead the site implementation of the Transcend program at our Sassenheim location. In this strategic role, you will drive the end-to-end deployment across business units and functions, connecting operational processes, digital systems, and organizational change. You will work in a complex matrix environment, provide direction to program teams, and ensure delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives. Key Responsibilities Program strategy and planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive site strategy and integrated program plan across business units. Conduct detailed gap analyses for key processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and plan-to-produce. Project execution: Lead the end-to-end deployment across multiple functions and workstreams. Monitor milestones, risks, dependencies, resources, budgets, and quality, and keep IT and business leaders informed of progress. Leadership and operational management: Establish and mentor the program team, strengthen leadership and technical capabilities, manage workflow and compliance, and ensure team goals are achieved within agreed timelines and budgets. Business partnership: Collaborate with global and site stakeholders, share standard methodologies, and build a strong community of practice among SAP and other subject matter experts (SME’s). Organizational change: Partner with business units to support adoption of new capabilities and lead effective transformational change across the organization. Stakeholder communication: Maintain proactive and transparent communication with internal and external partners. Manage Leadership Team meetings and facilitate strategic planning sessions. Credo-based leadership: Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team objectives and decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree is an advantage. At least eight years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry, with a focus on project management, strategic planning, operational excellence, or technology-enabled transformation. Experience in cell therapy or CAR-T is preferred. Strong business acumen across operational areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, maintenance, quality, finance, and planning, combined with relevant systems-integration experience. Good understanding of manufacturing-site digital architecture and the interdependencies between key systems such as MES, LIMS, and SAP. Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and transformational change in a matrix organization. Skills and Capabilities Comfortable working with ambiguity and leading in a complex matrix environment. Strong problem-solving skills
