Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Developer Productivity, AI, Test and Simulations team is responsible for developer experience, builder operations, CICD and Infrastructure services. We are looking for engineers with experience in designing backend services, five 9 service availability and metrics, with advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services infrastructure such as IAM, Lambdas, Cloud watch, API gateways etc. Deep knowledge on leveraging Generative AI for productivity tooling is required. Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript/Python/GoLang is an added advantage. The candidate would participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. You will participate in the design, integration and improvement of the software. This includes designing and implementing a wide range of software using AWS stack, sometimes requiring partnership with low level embedded code software systems and architecting scalable design solutions for software distribution and deployment for satellites. You must be about to disambiguate high level of ambiguity and unknowns, design flexible solutions and able to succeed within an open, collaborative environment. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
