As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and operation of cloud-native data platforms and streaming solutions. You will collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data products that support Vestas' digital transformation journey. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data services using Python and cloud-native technologies Build and support real-time and event-driven data solutions using Confluent Kafka and related ecosystem components Develop and maintain data integration services, APIs, and backend components using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy Design and optimize data models, data ingestion processes, and transformation workflows in Snowflake Support data quality, governance, and observability initiatives across the data platform Deploy, operate, and debug workloads running on Kubernetes-based platforms Perform root cause analysis, incident management, and production support activities Collaborate with platform teams on architecture, scalability, security, and operational excellence Support users and stakeholders with data ingestion, processing, and analytics workloads Qualifications Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Similar specialization 8+ years of experience in designing and building data-intensive applications and cloud-based systems for Senior Software Engineer 5+ years of experience in designing and building data-intensive applications and cloud-based systems for software Engineer programming skills in Python and object-oriented software development Experience working with modern data platforms and data warehousing technologies, Snowflake Experience with streaming technologies and event-driven architectures, Confluent Kafka Experience building APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementations Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes Experience working with Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps Solid problem-solving, issue resolution, and operational support skills Effective collaboration and communication skills in a global environment Competencies Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines Curious and focused on building scalable and innovative data solutions Clear organizational thinking paired with effective problem-solving skills Focused and accountable, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement Comfortable working in a shifting technology landscape Solid communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities Interested in learning new technologies and contributing to team goals What We Offer You will join a focused team that enables data-driven decision-making by building scalable data platforms and using modern engineering practices You will work in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning while providing opportunities to develop skills across software engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, and cloud technologies.
